What's your IQ

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said, "The most intelligent person is the one who remembers deathoften."

If a person is thought to be very intelligent, yet fails exam after exam, soonall those around him/her will begin to think that he/she is not really veryintelligent after all. To get through life with your faith intact, with gooddeeds, and with Allah’s pleasure as your greatest goal, is the biggest exam youwill ever face.

If you fail the exam of life you cannot call yourself intelligent, regardlessof what else your “intelligence” allowed you to accumulate of education,wealth, fame or pleasure. These will all go to waste with your death, while youwill still have to stand before your Lord and face the consequences foreternity.

Your intelligence would have failed you if it didn’t give you the sense toproperly attempt the biggest exam of your life. Such intelligence is cursed! Inan examination hall if you start watching a movie, or discussing the score of agame, or pull out a lavish meal to eat, would you be considered sensible? Nomatter what your I.Q., you’d be considered mad.

This life is one big exam. Are you busy answering the questions of what tobelieve and what to do or are you busy entertaining yourself? The time forenjoyment is later. Those who prepare and do well in the exam of life will beconsidered the intelligent ones for eternity.

The people in Hell will say about themselves, "Had we but listened or usedour intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the BlazingFire!" [Al-Quran 67:10]

We are so engrossed in our various pursuits that the reality of death does notoccur to us. Constant remembrance of death would keep us from getting easilydistracted by the glittery entertainment beckoning from all directions,preventing us from seriously attempting the exam of life. Keeping death in mindwould help us abstain from sin and motivate us to do good deeds without delay.

The most intelligent person is the one who gives the exam of life his/her fullattention, since there are no re-takes.

Egypt today

Sorry for the long delay in posts. Been quite busy for the past few weeks.
The crackdown to the demonstrations in Tahrir Square has now eased.
No new serious events happened for the past 2 weeks though.

The Elections started as planned on the end of November. It's divided into several sections as Egypt is a big country after all. I'm not quite sure when will the election is going to end. Though by far, the Islamist party 'Muslim Brotherhood' is gaining big momentum together with an another Salafi Islamist party 'An-nur', ranking 2nd in the vote count. The other party, The Liberal party stands the last in vote majority.

As you can see, Islam will always win, one way or in another. Allah will always help those help Allah. Helping Allah in the sense of being a good and noble servant of Allah and be good to his creations.
Be a good creation of Allah, and be good to His creations. For then, the true victory, under Allah's will always come near to you.

Let's hear this lecture about our beloved prophet Muhammad s.a.w. The most pious person ever for us to follow.

Some more deaths today. 22 people have been reported to have died since the protest on Friday.
Yet the view Kasr Hosp. about 1 km away from Tahrir..the condition seems to be normal.

Though the traffic is a bit smooth today. Perhaps people are just afraid to get out from their homes.
Anyhow, hope things will soon improve so I could learn medicine peacefully.

Egypt's Rage V2

Salam,

Again the violence in Egypt has erupted again. This time its not towards the ousted Hosny Mubarak,
but its toward the slow military action to hand the ruling power to pure civilian rule.
Its just like the revolution the last February, or more specifically 25 January. Though this time, I'm around in Egypt..hehe.. witnessing the scenes of how a revolution looks like in front of my eyes.

Interesting though, but from the stories from my friend about the past event, it wasn't an actually good event.
Eventhough, I'll survive good this time, as long as I don't be too harsh to go and join the protesters huh...:D

Selamat Hari Raya AidilAdha semua..
I think it's been such a while since i've been posting my own writing's here.
It's been a really hectic period over the past..I dunno..perhaps 8 months....

really, things really have changed...
from the 'Thaurah' Egyptian Uprising back in 25th of January..
Then the trip to Jordan (during the revolution)

I really didn't know what happened in Egypt on the so called 'Day of Rage"
25th Jan was exactly my flight to Jordan for a winter trip. didn't know that the revolution was turning so bad, my plan to Syria and Turkey was cancelled, and I headed back to Malaysia--home sweet home

returning back to Egypt a month later, my sight caught a couple of tanks and a number soldiers monitoring around the city of cairo. cool though to see the aftermath of the revolution eventhough I wasn't on the scene.

to cut short, after a glad and magnificent experience returning to Malaysia and coming back for the final year...the 25 revolution seems to be repeating itself again. This time against the ruling military junta. Yup, the long awaited election has come. A fair election without the iron fist former president, hopefully it'll finally be a free and fair elections. As the same goes to Malaysia. Really hope the ruling government pasty won't play joker cards again in thie coming election.

Anyway, just enjoy the video I posted.

its been ages since I last wrote something here i guess

its all bcoz all those tiresome schedule of lectures,

tutorial classes, a bit of study every now and then..and so.

currently its time to relax for a day or to...

since its the beginning of a new year, heres some new updates:

1. my youngest brother, ehsan has now become a first grader!!!

he's really enjoying the school though, always energetic (says my mom)

2. anisah is now a Form 2 student at SMK Jalan 3

3. maisarah is enjoying her stay at home

waiting for her date to the down under (aus)

for her engineering studies

4. shafiq in year 4, actuary science

-crap, he went to the grand canyon last week!!!

5. daddy's now back at MINT

its better as he now will have more time for himself and family

6. and finally my great loving mommy

thats about a brief update about my family

for me...i've just finished studying about children, pediatrics.

just did the end-round exam 2 days ago. alhamdulillah it went well.

i've also finished introductory Internal Medicine few months ago.

this sunday will be Surgery. an introduction about surgery, which i think

its quite a lot for an introduction.

overall i'm all pumped up for the coming rounds....yeah~!

enough with the academics. winter holidays is in two weeks time.

I'll be traveling somewhere outside egypt.

just for a new breeze to refreshen up my rusty mind.

its been quite a while I guess, since i've ever wrote something here..

to sum up, after a glorious summer break, i went back to continue my studies

in an another new trunk of medicine.

i have to go by the final two years of medicine as a student, the fifth and sixth years.

InsyaAllah it'll go well till the end.

speaking of which, it really seems that i'm about to finish this hell of a kind to study medicine.

a lot has been achieved and a lot of things had happen along the way.

here's the main thing i wanna stress upon,

from the above verse from surah Az-Zumar,

Allah mentions ...

"..لا تقطوا من رحمة الله" "..do not despair of the mercy of Allah.."

in easy words, don't lose hope with Allah..

for he is the one and only place we should return to in times of despair..

and the only one we should ask help and put belief to...

so no matter how untrustworthy you are, how sinned are you...

seek and ask forgiveness from Allah.

though also remember, never to betray Allah after always receiving his blessings.

its just like a couple in love...lets say the girl would always want to receive his lover's 'gifts' of all sorts, namely chocolates, flowers, treats, and so on. the girl on the other hand would always treat his lover so badly like demanding expensive things, always come late to promised occasions etc.

if i was the boy, i'd just leave her and find another lady...

*btw, nobady's perfect i guess, a lame example huh..heheh, but take what's good

Rasulullah said to us in the 19th hadith of An-Nawawi's forty hadiths

"..Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, ask of Allah; if you seek help, seek help of Allah..."

I have always thank to Allah for what He has given to me..

being able to still continue medicine and more importantly to continue my life in this world.

A lot has changed since last year's incident. I can say i'm back like i was before, I think.

depends on what you fellow friends think..

All we can do right now is never to lose hope to Allah, as Rasulullah said

salam..

hey..we meet agian..after a long vacation around my hometown..
really had a good time here back at home...
met lots of people..and did a couple of things...this n that n bla2...

well to sum up, what I did was...
1. elective posting at Serdang Hosp.
2. paint the living room green with my bro. Shafiq.
3. did some maintenance workup for my house.
4. balik kampung for Raya and some garden work.
5. met people and stuff.

that was all..perhaps..maybe some other things I didn't mention.
like always good and bad things happened..but I enjoyed my stay..

tomorrow i'm off back to egypt..to continue my studies..
thanks for all the visit u guys gave me...
alhamdulillah i'm much better this year compared to a year ago...
i'll rate myself, i'm back to normal..alhamdulillah..

you know what...i don't if i'm going to Serdang hospital again or not..
by right it will my last week, next week...so the 3 weeks elective posting in surgical department
has almost ended...

learned quite a few things...didn't had a chance to do any procedure..just observing
but I guess thats okay...
but seriously..soon when ure an houseman, you really need to know how to present a case to the Dr...presenting the case clearly to the specialist and consultants...under ure MO's supervision.

i guess, in doing the procedures, you need to have a lot of practice doing it..coz its a real basic thing that you should really know and have to do...
again one of the important things that you need to have is...
the skill to establish a good rapport with patients and nurses...not to forget to have a good relationship with ure MO's and specialists..

so, overall, I gain new experience..got to know new friends from UPM and CUCMS..see how the life in hospital works..
got to see what a houseman should be prepared of..before serving the people..
AND you really need to have good manners..and good confidence when presenting the case and during dealing with patients
or else you're in big trouble soon...hehehe..

we meet again..just wanna share a couple of words or two.
what I heard from an ustaz from his lecture.
its about thanks..(syukur)..or more precisely being always thankful to Allah
for what He has given us so far...much have we achieved in our lives since we were born to life..

ever wondered..why we're still living and breathing the life's essential oxygen..no matter if your a muslim or not...no matter weather your a good muslim or not a good one. your still living and doing things of what ever you desire...
Allah the All-Mighty..most gracious and most merciful...
we recite it every now and then...

In the Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent and The Most Merciful

Allah has never been cruel to us.

giving us the five senses, pair of arms and legs, a brain to think, the animals, trees, microbs, and the list goes on and on till you get arm cramps listing all of them..

there's just so many things Allah has blessed us with..

for the last 3 weeks i got to follow the ophthal. Dr's follow up a patient with severe endophthalmitis. She complained of severe pain. so severe until she even couldn't sleep at night.

she was admitted to the ward that time.

so I asked the Dr. how they managed the case??.. it was just like in the textbook, we do medical treatment..and if the condition do not resolve, we have to cut the eye eviscerization (dunno how to spell, hehe)..so they did treat the eye medically..up till..in dunno, this week, i came, and she had a patch in her eye...

ahh i knew it, they've cut the eye

the patient could't stand to tolerate the pain and decided to to cut the eye last saturday, leaving a single eye that could still function.

may Allah bless you makcik Azita.

alhamdulillah I said to myself, "i still have both eyes"..it taught me a big lesson...to control my sight and control what i see..

yeah..we have to look away from seeing HARAM things..and use the eye for the goods.

cause we all know, in the hereafter (akhirat) each of our senses will speak by themselves about what they have been used for. If its good, then the outcome will be good. if its bad, then what you get back is bad.

so friends out there, just used what Allah has given us wisely, apa yang Allah telah amanahkan kita dengan baik..and always repent to Allah for the sins we've done..

phew..one whole week finally ended...
seriously, being a Dr is not that simple..
you certainly need to have the knowledge,
knowledge about medicine certainly...
also all sorts of skills...
including..
> how to do clinical examinations
> how to interact with patients of all kinds..
- from an infant to elders
- man or women
- all sorts of races (Malay, Chinese, Indian and others..)
> how to related systemic illness with the presenting one
> Differential diagnosis...subsequently ure provisional diagnosis
> plan of treatment and treatment...
>...and so on...

so dear colleagues, when u have time, go to hospitals. watch and learn what a doctor do and act towards patients. supaya kita bila kerja nanti tak kekok bila practice medicine. :)...we're all still learning..so gather as much while ure still a student..to prepare for upcoming job...
dah3..cukup setakat tu, cuma nak tulis experience bila pertama kali attach dekat hospital...terasa diri sendiri bengong and kekok bila Dr suruh amek patients history and present..but anyhow, i'll keep on trying to improve myself...

so what i've done so far in the ophthalmology clinic..?
1. use an ophthalmoscope/funduscope to do the
light reflix & red reflex
test for RAPD
see findings on the fundus
2. interview some patients..but sucked!..heheh..
3. learn new things about clinical ophthalmology
4. oral-like questions from the Dr
5. see a eye-Laser procedure
and some other stuffs...tk ingat..hehe

bottom line, i've enjoyed the week really well..
lets get ready for d coming week...

while room 38 is the clinic where I attached with Dr Rozita, the Ophthalmologist..

salam..

yesterday i attached with Dr Ho..a nice femali Dr.
she taught me couple of new things...
also did lots of things, again i did the red reflex, light test and
test for RAPD..

she showed me to use the funduscope and the slip lamp...
amazing thing to finally to it by my self..
a lot of chit chat troughout the day...
anyway, at the end of the day, i got to further improve my skills..
a useful skill i learnt is, ...knowing how to deal with young patients...
like school aged children and under-5 years old child.
seriously we need to have those skills..macam cakap lemah lembut..
bagi sweets ke to make them cooperative...
also you need to talk to them in a very childish way...i don't know if male Dr do the same..cause i've only attached with female Dr's...
but never, hope to acquire the skills later on..

that say, pukul 3 dah mintak Dr nak balik...sebab rasa kepenatan even though duduk dlm clinik ber-air-cond. je.
so that was the 2nd day

3rd day..
again in the same clinic, this time i was with Dr Mazaya.
some Q&A today...
M/O tu kate ade exam dalam masa terdekat ni..untuk smbung buat masters..
the same routine today...screening patients and seeing new cases..
the new thing for today...Dr Mazaya showed me how to use the ophthalmoscope to see the fundus..yeah i did see the optic disc..but it wasn't that clear...
i did it only once though..maybe i could do it again some next time..

another Dr I attached to day was a ophthalmologist consultant..
Dr Rozita...she's a very2 nice doctor...
like professor's back in the university, she asked me lots of questions...
primarily about Diabetic retinopathy and the optic nerve pathway..
well I answered the questions..but not that well..

Dr Rozita siap suruh jadi ophthalmologist lagi, die kate sebab sangat kurang lelaki yang amik specialist ophthal..hurmmm, i'll think about that

Serdang hospital, day 1

Semalam, elective posting kat Ophthalmology department begins.
Memang tak ada prepare ape2, mcm baca buku opthal ke ape..just gamble je pergi hospital..

That morning, I went to hospital serdang alone, by myself.
Dah check jalan kat Google Map…lagipun, tahun lepas ada pernah datang kat sini untuk Physiotherapy, so ada cam2 la sikit hospital ni.

Anyway nak cerita, mula-mula nak kena lapor diri dulu di hospital.
But at that time, tak tahu nak lapor diri kat mana, so tanya dekat kaunter perndaftaran , mana tempat Unit Latihan. Akak tu bagi arah, kat pejabat pentadbiran, tingkat 3.
So I went there and gave my borang and gambar, she said nak buat kad hospital. It was 8.30am.

“okay, so ade kena pakai name tag la ni”. After that, I went to the ophthalmology department.

Awal2 memang blur, sebab tak tahu nak jumpa siapa. So I took a walk around the department.

“cool jugak tempat ni, nice and clean” .

Pusing2 5 minit, jumpalah abang ni, En. Azlan, pembantu perubatan kt dept. tu. So I told him about me and my purpose being here in the ophthalmology dept.. then he took me for a walk around the dept. and introduced several Doctor’s to me.

I was supposed to meet the head dept. Dr Razlian, but he was not around. So I met Dr Rosniza, the deputy head dept.. She assigned me to the active clinic, where it receive new cases and follow up cases. Okay, that’s nice. So I’m attached with the M/O in charge there, Dr Masyitah.

It was a hell of a day, from 9.00 until 5.00, recess in the middle 1-2. Ramai betul patient. Dr cakap, sebab hari Isnin, sabtu ahad cuti, sbb tu la ramai. Anyway sronok jugak sebab dapat jumpa banyak patient. From child to old patients with all sorts of eye problems.
From my observation, most patient came with conjunctivitis, either viral and allergic. most of managed by giving artificial tears. Other than that, I always see patients with foreign body in their eye.

So did I did the???
Well dapat guna ophthalmoscope untuk examine patient. Buat Red reflex and swinging light test untuk check RAPD. First time dapat pegang ophthalmoscope, jadi sangat kekok. Apa lagi, kena minta tolong Dr ajarkan la cara2 guna ophthalmoscope tu. Terpaksala, sebab kt U, belajar theory je banyak, practical kurang. Other than that, ada dapat peluang guna slit lamp tengok patient nye mata, Dr ade tunjuk 2-3 kali la findings yang Dr jumpa.

Ada sekali tu, Dr sruh amik history patient. Caranya lebih kurang je macam yang dah belaja dulu. Tapi sebab lame dah tinggal and tak revise baik, kekok jugak la. Banyak kali Dr mencelah and betulkan cara2 ambik history. Memang terasa sangat inferior sebab tak cekap ambik history. Then Dr suruh present kt die apa yang dapat daripada history taking tadi. In english.
Arghh hancur2..hehe. padan muka, sape suruh tak study sebelum pergi.

All and all, sronok dapat duk kt hospital and tengok patient. Dapat kenal selok belok cara kerja kt hospital di Malaysia. Penat seharian di hospital, walaupun duduk hospital je. Tapi sronok dapat develop clinical skills and apply apa yang pernah belajar 3-4 bulan yang lepas.
Okay itu saja, malas nak type panjang2, wslm.

Reunion

so its a full family reunion!!!
well there was a reunion last year,
but practically speaking 'I was not around' huh...
well this year I'm all pumped up and healthy..
that's I really call it a family reunion..
dah lame kami sekeluarga berkumpul bersama...

enough with that..
this Monday I'll begin my attachment course at H. Serdang..
I could perhaps my fellow seniors there..
it'll my first experience this monday going on a elective posting in a hospital
hope it'll go fine and i'll not make a fuss..heheh

anyway, the results for the final exam will come out very soon..
so I have to prepare to face what ever consequence..
if it turns out good..alhamdulillah
of not so good, i'll just have to face what ever challenges that'll face me..

alhamdulillah, the fierce struggle has ended...
9 months battling my way through the fourth year,
with much obstacles facing...
but nevermind, it has ended anyway
now its time to head home...

need to buy a couple of things...
some sourvenirs and stuffs...
but don't bother those things...
they're just worldly things to make people happy..
what's important is meeting people and using the available precious time wisely..

i'm not homesick,
just wanna meet my family who's probably 'homesicking' me..
but i'd be super duper glad to be meeting them soon..

akram redha dengan apa jua pemberian Allah...
Dia lah yang maha mengetahui apa yang terbaik untuk hambaNya
setinggi-tinggi kesyukuran dipanjatkan kepada-Nya...
diberikan kesihatan dan rezeki yang baik...

from what I remember

briefly, this is what happened a year ago..

-----9 June 2009-----

"hurray!! the last written exam, pharmoclogy, just ended yesterday...

still, there will be the pharmacology MCQ exam tomorrow"

"i guess i'll just take a big rest for tonight and just answer what I can tomorrow"

that night I just went through the drug book quickly and went to sleep.

tomorrow I'll have a big day, going to Ain Sukhnah,

to check and survey a nice place for the batch's post-exam holiday,

as I promised with Allahyarham Ammar days ago.

that night, I just packed up a few my things including things for a swim in the sea.

then I slept--zzZZzzz

----10 June 2009-----

after the exam, me and Aman planned to have lunch at Yemen Saeed,

for the first time, I ate a grilled lamb chop with rice... it was superb!!...I think~~

Ammar on the other hand went back home in MalikuSsoleh coz he left his passport.

then he came back to the restaurant wanting to have lunch.

I dun know, somehow we manged to tapaw a meal, either Ammar's or we ordered a new meal,

but never mind.

Later, we together with Saif(driver) and Fitri, began our journey to Ain Sukhnah.

few hours later we arrived. after some sightseeing, the motels and beaches..we went to the shore and ..mandi laut~!!! it was after the Asar prayer that time.

after having some fun swimming, we planned to head back to Cairo.

right after having the nasik tapaw we tapaw earlier, our journey home began...

then --------------------- seriously, i dunno what happened ~~~

-----10 June (evening) up till around 2 weeks before Ramadhan (in Malaysia)-----

don't ask cause I absolutely have 0% memory about what happened.

just wanna share this great site discussiNG about the forty hadith's collected by Imam Nawawi.

so what are these forty hadith's? well from my personal understanding, they are the some forty hadith's collected by Imam Nawawi that discuss the fundamental aspects and value's of life or basically how to behave and act like a good human being.

If you understand some these hadiths, then try to implement them in your life. It will be a miracle that you'll realize some of the bad habits you have will go away. Practice the hadith everyday and try to tell others about the hadiths you know. Insya Allah, Allah will grant you big rewards.

You may seem that doing so is like kinda waste of time, but you will realize and notice all the good deeds you have done in life, in the here after life (akhirat). Remember, your not going to live forever in this so called "lovely world". No matter how successful you are in what you do, you'll just eventually die. So, take time to think about this matter and how prepared are you to face god. OK enough for me to babble

its been a while...

so updates about me...

- i'll say i'm 99% recovered from the accident

- its the last subject in the 4th year - ophthalmology

- its 38 days remaining till the final exam!!!

- application for elective posting at Serdang Hospital still pending

- family and cousins just can't really wait to see me again especially my mom and dad

- passport application from Malaysia seems to come in a halt, still waiting

that's all about me..

updates from my brothers and sisters..

- Shafiq in the U.S. is also returning back to Malaysia this July for the first time ever.

- Maisarah in UniKL almost finished her preparatory semester and going to fly to Australia next year.

- Anisah, she's doing fine in her first year in secondary school, SMK Jalan Tiga, BBB.

- Ehsan, 6 years old, he can read quite well now and going to primary school next year.

for those waiting to see me in Malaysia, my flight home will be 11 July, maybe arriving malaysia 12 July, see you guys then.

hey guess what...

it was on this date, 2 months prior to the final exam,
the final written paper to be examined, pharmacology, was held, 10 June 2009.
as always, exam hall--answer the MCQ questions--and go home.
but that day, I had something to be done, to survey a place called Ain Sukhnah, northwest of Cairo. a place that my batch will organize a 'party' after the oral exams.

before leaving cairo, we had a big lunch at the Yemen Saeed restaurant. I had a beef steak for lunch, something i wanted to eat for a long time. anyhow, to sum up, we left for ain sukhnah, got the venue we were searching for, then we went swimming at the beach. right after swimming, we went back to cairo. but we never reached cairo!!
the next thing i know, hey i'm back in Malaysia. of course many things happened in between. and now, hey, i'm back studying in cairo.

yup, its been 10 months since the incident. how far I've recovered?? physically i'll say 99%, mentally i'm still in recovery. (korang la nilai banayk mane aku dh recover) i guess it takes time for the brain to actually regain its full recovery. the neurologist said, the left hemisphere, which was the dominant part, also the half which was most injured, is slowly been taken over by the right hemisphere. it will take time to heal.

so far so good. extra exercises has to be done to stimulate the neurons. my memory needs training to get to its previous capabilities.

okay2 dah. tu je kot aku nk cerita. byk dah aku cerita sbelum ni. bosan plak korang membacenye kang.

Situasi 2, “Aku baca buku awal-awal ni, nanti dekat peksa aku lupe jugak, kena mula dari awal balik, baek aku studu last minit”...

Rasanya kebanyakkan daripada menghadapi dilemma ini. Pendek kata, mereka yang fikir sebigini, matlamatnya hanya untuk menjawab peperiksaan, dan bukan menguasai ilmu itu sendiri. Lulus atau mendapat result yang baik dalam periksa memang penting di atas kertas untuk naik tahun atau mendapat ijzarah. Namun, selesai mendapat ijazah, berapa banyak ilmu yang masih lekat di kepala.

Betul, sebahagian pembacaan awal memang kelak akan kita lupa apabila menjelang peperiksaan. Tapi, kita mungkin tidak sedar ianya sangat membantu kerana sekurang-kurang kita pernah melaluinya (sesuatu topik) sekali lalu. Maka rakan-rakan, janganlah segan silu untuk membelek buku-buku yang berhabuk atas rak tu. Remember why and what you came here for?

Renungi nasihat Dr Nada Abd Azez, “berusahalah daripada sekarang untuk menjadi seorang Doktor yang bertanggungjawab dan ikhlas dalam segala tindakan anda. Ketahuilah tugas yang anda pikul sekarang adalah tugas yang amat berat namun terlalu mulia di sisi Allah Taala”. Tanda kita ikhlas dalam ilmu ialah kita bersungguh untuk grasp dengan tamaknya segala banyak ilmu yang boleh kita genggam tak kira betapa sukarnya ilmu tersebut.

Matlamat jangka panjang dan matlamat jangka pendek juga perlu dibentang supaya kita tidak lari dari landasan agenda dalam time frame kita. Akhir sekali perbaharuilah niat sentiasa. Tugas dan kewajipan yang perlu dipenuhi seorang pelajar.

Banyak lagi situasi yang mungkin anda boleh baca sendiri di buku-buku atau tulisan motivasi yang lain yang mungkin anda sudah muak telaah. Jadi, bertindaklah sekarang wahai pemuda, hentikanlah angan-angan mega anda jika masih leka dengan dunia hiburan dan mainan suka-ria anda. Memang, usia belia sering mencari kepuasan dan keseronokkan sendiri. Tapi jangan sampai terlaku leka hanyut dengan tipu daya syaitan dan hawa safsu.

Ingat matlamat kita dalam menuntut ilmu. Jadidkan pesan mak ayah sebagai pendorong sumber inspirasi kita sewaktu kita terasa ‘down’.

Sebagai konklusi, renungilah kata-kata seorang doktor kepada seorang doctor;

“Sesungguhnya (doktor) yang hidupnya adalah untuk dirinya sendiri tanpa memikirkan orang lain di sekelilingnya dan tidak meletakkan di hadapannya tujuan dakwah yang menggunung, juga tidak melapangkan masanya sejam sahaja dalam seminggu untuk mempelajari ilmu Agama dan menghafaz apa yang patut dari al-Quran, juga tidak memikirkan apa yang perlu dibuat untuk Islam terhadap ilmu perubatan yang dianugerahkan kepadanya, maka keadaannya kadang-kadang banyak rehat, hidup dan matinya dalam keadaan jiwanya kerdil. Adapun doctor yang berjiwa besar yang sanggup memikul tuagasan yang penat ini, Tidak mementingkan urusan tidurnya, waktu rehatnya, berada di atas tilam yang empuk dan kehidupan yang senang lenang disamping harta benda yang memuaskan. Sesungguhnya Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihiwasallam telah memberitahu keadaan yang sepatutnya dan bersabda kepada Ummul Mukminin Sayyidatina Khadijah: Telah berlalu masa untuk kami tidur wahai Khadijah. Maka kami ingin menyatakan di sini: Telah berlalu masa untuk kamu tidur dan pejam lelap wahai penuntut-penuntut bidang perubatan!”

Sedar!!! Ini agenda golongan kuffar. Menularkan aura-aura hiburan di jiwa pemuda di masa mereka, kuffar, gah berlumba-lumba menguasai ilmu, kerana mereka tahu akan kuasa-kuasa yang ada pada ilmu. Ilmu mereka mampu memisahkan umat Islam dari Agama mereka, realitinya kita boleh lihat dengan mata sendiri. Contoh mudah adalah system sekularisme di Turkey. Kebanyakan kita sedar dengan hakikat yang berlaku, mengasingkan apa yang diajar Islam dengan urusan duniawi. Namun sekada redar tanpa tindakan, hasilnya kosong juga.

Berikut digambarkan fikiran-fikiran yang mungkin melanda diri kita. Peranan kita sebagai pelajar dan kehendak-kehendak diri yang juga bergelar remaja atau belia. Mungkin apa yang dibentangkan di bawah tepat dengan condition yang dialami olehnya.

Persoalan;

Situasi 1: “aiseh, kena study lagi, takkan nak baca buku je keje!!?, masuk air la otak”...

Situasi 2: “Aku baca buku awal-awal ni, nanti dekat peksa aku lupe jugak, kena mula dari awal balik, baek aku studu last minit”...

Situasi 3: “Alaa, nanti spot2 soklan kan ade, baca yg tu ckup la, yg tak penting tak masuk peksa”.

Itu ayat-ayat biasa yang bermain dalam pemikiran kita yang terbatas ni. Pokoknya, memang perasaan malas itu sangat menebal dalam diri kita. Bagilah apa-apa alasan pun. Apa agaknya cara untuk mengubati untuk penyakit malas yang membelenggu diri.

Situasi 1, memang membaca buku berterusan atau mendengar kuliah yang panjang, sangat membosankan dan memeningkan kepala. Kajian yang menunjukkan bahawa otak manusia hanya mampu member fokus sepenuhnya untuk setengah jam yang pertama sahaja. Selebihnya penumpuan kita terhadap pelajaran akan mula kabur.

Mudah untuk diatasi. Cara yang dicadangkan ialah dengan system “reward yourself”. Contoh mudah, baca buku 30 minit kemudian berhenti untuk bermain solitaire satu pusingan atau borak-borak dengan kawan, kemudian sambung balik baca buku. Banyak cara-cara lain yang sesuai dengan diri boleh difikirkan sendiri. Tapi bahayanya, jangan sampai tempoh reward melibihi masa belajar kita. Baca bukunya hanaya setengah jam, tapi masa rehatnya sampai 1-2 jam. Oleh itu, disiplinkan diri dan kenali kemampuan belajar.

you know, to think that I'd really wrote an article to be published in one of the PERUBATAN magazaines last year, it's quite cool huh. its an article about self motivation about how to be ready for the exams and stuffs like that.

“Hai anakku; bila engkau berteman, tempatkanlah dirimu padanya sebagai orang yang tidak mengharapkan sesuatu daripadanya. Namun biarkanlah dia yang mengharapkan sesuatu darimu.”

Merenung kata-kata Luqman Al-Hakim kepada anaknya di atas, maksudnya seolah-olah semua tanggungjawab yang wujud di atas dunia ini terpikul di bahu kita. Tapi mampukah tenaga dan upaya fikiran kita buat semua benda sekali gus? Kalau ada pun, mmg sempurna sangat la orang ni. Manakan wujud. Maka kerana itulah setiap yang lahir pada zaman dan tempatnya semestinya ada peranan terhadap dunia sekelilingnya.

Mungkin ramai yang terbayang, alangkah seronoknya menjadi burung, terbang, mancari makan tanpa menghiraukan masalah lain seperti pelajaran, kerjaya atau melayan karenah manusia. Ataupun terbayang menjadi prozoa, unicell yang agaknya kehidupannya mereka begitu mudah. Namun tidak, gunakanlah segala potensi yang telah diberikan oleh Allah kepada kita.

Allah telah sebut dalam al-Quran:

كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنڪَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ‌ۗ وَلَوۡ ءَامَنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيۡرً۬ا لَّهُم‌ۚ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَأَڪۡثَرُهُمُ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقُونَ (١١٠

Kamu (wahai umat Muhammad) adalah sebaik-baik umat yang dilahirkan bagi (faedah) umat manusia, (kerana) kamu menyuruh berbuat segala perkara yang baik dan melarang daripada segala perkara yang salah (buruk dan keji) serta kamu pula beriman kepada Allah (dengan sebenar-benar iman) dan kalaulah Ahli Kitab (Yahudi dan Nasrani) itu beriman (sebagaimana yang semestinya), tentulah (iman) itu menjadi baik bagi mereka. (Tetapi) di antara mereka ada yang beriman dan kebanyakan mereka orang-orang yang fasik. (Surah Al Imran, ayat 110)

Lantaran itu, artikel ini bukanlah sebagai jawapan unggul terhadap persoalan peranan kita di dunia ini, tapi harapnya pembaca sekalian mengambilnya sebagai titik tolak ataupun stimulus untuk kita mula ataupun terus bergerak membina diri untuk memenuhi tuntutan peranan di dunia dan juga sebagai hambaNya.

Sebagai pelajar di apa jua peringkat atau ilmu, tugas kita sememangnya untuk mengambil ilmu sebanyak yang mungkin. Kemudian, seperti biasa, apabila tiba masanya, mahu menjawab peperiksaan, sasarannya mendapat keputusan yang baik ataupun sesetengah daripada ungkapkan “alaa, janji lulus sudeyh~”. Menjadi masalah yang membelenggu setiap daripada kita, sikap MALAS.

Kalau belum sampai musim periksa, jangan harap hendak baca sepotong ayat pun dari buku. Kononnya sibuk dengan perkara-perkara lain. Alhamdulillah, mereka yang mengahbiskan waktu untuk berjuang dalam agama atau persatuan, masa-masa yang mereka habiskan InsyaAllah tidak terlepas daripada mendapat ganjaran Allah. Namun, ia tidak boleh dijadikan alasan untuk kita untuk meninggalkan tanggungjawab sebagai pelajar. Apatah lagi mereka yang menghabiskan masa berjam-jam di hadapan computer, layan movie, drama-drama korea , internet, games dan sebagainya. Ingat time will always show it’s back on us unless we turn our back to them.

Pesan Dr Shuib sebelum beliau meninggal Mesir, “belajar bersungguh-sungguh, ini bukan ayat karangan”. Sering menjadi tabiat kita, apabila dinasihati untuk belajar bersungguh-sungguh, kita ambil mudah sahaja kata-kata ini. Namun, maksudnya sangat besar. Benar, mengejar segenap ilmu bukan tugas yang mudah, terutamanya kita yang terikat dalam bidang perubatan. Ramai yang tahu tentang kebolehan tokoh-tokoh Islam pada kurun-kurun yang lepas.

Mereka mampu menguasai pelbagai ilmu serentak, perubatan, fizik, matematik, astronomi dan sebagainya. You name it, Al-Razi, Al-Zahrawi, Ibnu Sina, Ibnu Rusyd dan ramai lagi. Mereka semua hebat. Kenapa mereka begitu eager dalam ilmu sedangkan kita leka dengan hiburan-hiburan. Ya, hiburan merupakan antara punca utama pelajar kita leka dalam mengejar ilmu. Mereka banyak menghabiskan banyak masa dan wang mencari kepuasan dunia dan memenuhi kehendak nafsu sendiri.

عــن أبـي هـريـرة رضي الله عــنـه ، ان رجــلا قـــال للـنـبي صلي الله عـلـيـه وسـلـم : أوصــني . قال : ( لا تغضب ) فردد مرارًا ، قال : ( لا تغضب ).
رواه البخاري [ رقم : 6116 ]

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (radiAllaahu anhu),

That a man said to the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam : "Counsel me", so he (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said :

Do not become angry.

The man repeated [his request for counsel] several times, and he (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said :

Do not become angry.

It was related by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim.

Explanation of Hadeeth Number 16

The author of "al-Ifsaah min al-Jaa'iz" said that the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam recognised in this man considerable anger, so he singled out for him this particular advice. And the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam has praised the one who is able to control himself at the time of anger, and has said "The powerful man is not the one who is able to wrestle, but the powerful man is the one who is able to control himself at the time of anger".

And Allaah ta'aalaa has also praised such a person where He says : "those who repress their anger, and who pardon others" [aal-'Imraan, 134]. And it is narrated from the Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) that he said : "Whoever represses his anger while he is able to express it and is not in the wrong, then Allaah 'azza wa jall will call him amongst the best of Creation on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be allowed to choose whoever he wishes from amongst the Hoor."

And it has also been narrated in another hadeeth : "Verily anger is from Shaytaan", and it is because of this that the angry person is no longer able to deal justly, and he speaks falsehood, and he takes on many blameworthy characteristics, and he takes into his heart feelings of hatred and malice and other than that of the despicable, forbiddden characteristics - and all of this is from anger, may Allaah protect us from it.

And it has been narrated in the hadeeth of Sulaymaan bin Sarud : "Verily seeking refuge with Allaah from Shaytaan, the outcast, causes the anger to recede." And this is because Shaytaan is the one who beautifies anger and all other such blameworthy affairs, for Shaytaan always tries to mislead man and keep him away from the Pleasure of Allaah 'azza wa jall, and so seeking refuge with Allaah from him is one of the strongest weapons available to repel his evil designs.

at other days.

Today went good so far. Also i managed to get my days
to go quite marvelous in the recent weeks. Alhamdulillah the problems
facing me before as the passport, the flight ticket was solved harmoniously. So let us all hope everything's finefor the next coming days, weeks, months and perhaps in coming years.

what happened this week..

many things happened but there's one this I want to tell.

regarding your

PASSPORT

since most of you (JPA scholars studying in Egypt) will have your passport expire next year,

I advice you guy's to renew your passport either from here, or when you go back to Malaysia.

better if you settle the thing in Malaysia coz its much more easier.

about me, my passport will expire this 28th of august 2010. so the maximum date for my visa will be 2 moths prior to my expiry date, which is 28th June.

my flight back will be at 11th July. SO IT'S JUST AROUND 2 WEEKS AWAYS.

so, i decided for safety reasons, to have an easy way to go home, I had to renew my passport from here through the embassy.

the passport will be finished and i will receive it at least after 3 months, which will probably be in early June. hope the passport will come its way by then so that i could go back to my lovely hometown of Bandar Baru Bangi..

UN envoy: Gaza is an open-air prison

John Holmes, the United Nation's humanitarian chief, has revisited the Gaza Strip, a year after Israel's assault on the territory ended.

He told Al Jazeera that it was disappointing how little has changed since the war and that there has been no real possibility of reconstruction, mainly because of Israel's siege of the Strip.

He said the blockade resulted in misery for the Palestinians.

"They're living in a kind of open-air prison. They're still suffering this kind of collective punishment they've been suffering for three years now."

finally, something not about the trip.

perhaps you've gotten bored reading that stuff.

well here's something different. something I've just remembered a few minutes ago

in the bathroom. its something about what happened during my illness in Malaysia.

Here's how it goes.

During the Ramadhan, I got this disease of having frequent micturation. How frequent are we talking about. well about every hour, I would go to the bathroom to pee. But the thing is, it was so small amount. about 100-200ml i guess. it doesn't hurt but i just got to pee.

then my mother got worried and sent me to a clinic to check with th doctor. Here's where the funny thing happened. Arriving at the clinic, i got my number, which was around 15 number's away from the current patient. Here's when I easily got panic not patient to wait for my number to come up. During the waiting phase, I seldom babbled why do the patient's and the doctor took so long.

Plus, I would alway's would want to go to the toilet to pee. back at seat, at waited and waited. Here's the problem, somehow I got problems to count the numbers. so time after time, i'll ask my mother, what number is it now, and how many more numbers till my turn. at first I still had the problem about the number thing. then my mother had to write the numbers on a paper to explain to me. at last my turn came, and I went to see the doctor.

Right after seeing the doctor, somehow the micturation problem vanished. Maybe it was just the problem of my brain and thought. The subconscious mind. To think that i'd really got problems with numbers back then. Hmmm, never mind, those were the sick days.

Hahahaha~~ it was so funny to think about it now, now i'm quite fine and healthy.

i'll remember it for life.

Nak sambung cerita hati tu.

Setibanya di London, kami berempat bergerak ke rumah pakcik Afify.

Oleh kerana kami menumpang di rumah dia, perbelajaan untuk penampatan

dapat dijimatkan. Setibanya di rumah, kami berkemas dan terus masuk tidur.

Keesokan harinya, 10 Feb. kami keluar berjalan-jalan sekitar London.

Kami mulakan dahulu dengan membeli Oyster card bagi memudahkan perjalanan sekitar London menaiki London tube.

Ah, tkar style bahasa ah, tk sronok ah skema2 nih,

Oyster card tu mcm kad touch and go kt mesia la...kalau baki dah kurang, gi top up la kt machine die.

first destination kitorang ke Emirates stadium.

kt sni tk pegi pun stadium tour die. cme kitorang gi kedai arsenal utk beli barang2 arsenal macam cawan, key chain, baju dam lain2.

habis 2 jam kt stadium, kitorang pegi solat kt satu masjid kat Hyde Park., then makan tgh hari.

quite sedap la makannye, tapi kalau nk banding dgn mesia, mmg makanan die mahal la...

7 pound = equal to around RM40.

tapi tk kesah la kan, tu la namenye berjalan. kne korban2 la skit duit tu.

next thing kitotang ke London Eye, mende bulat tu yg pusing2 tu.

menarik gak sbb dapat view satu London naik mende nih.

kemudian, sekitar tu ade plak the Big Ben..kitorang gi amek2 gambar skit.

then after pergi tgk London Bridge, Tower Bridge and lastly,Tower of London.

agak2 pkul 9, kitorang balik. sesampainye kt rumah, ade dinner pakcik pepe masak. Sepanjang kt London, byknye kitorang makan kt rumah, uncle and makcik Pepe masak. Fuuuh jimat la duit makan. Furthermore, accommodation pun kitorang leh jimat, duit kitorang bawak tu gune utk jalan-jalan shopping je. So that's all for the first day in London.

Sronok la dapat tengok negara org kan. Macam ade sorang ulama' ni cakap, dia jumpa Islam di barat tapi tiada orang Islam. mmg civilized betul diorang. dari segi kebersihan, adab dengan orang and percakapan dengan orang. baik btol diorng nih. cuma Islam je kite orang2 Islam kurang sampaikan kt diorang. kurang berdakwah la. so ape kite leh wat, cuba berdakwah dengan cara2 yg Nabi dah ajar or at least, berdoalah untuk kebaikan and keislaman manusia.

macam tu la, elok berjalan kt tempat orang nih. tengok camner kehidupan diorang sume.

peristiwa Sharm El-Sheikh

Assalamualaikum..

Pertama sekali nak cerita tentang apa yang berlaku pada awal-awal rancangan kami ke U.K.

Seperti yang dirancang semenjak 2-3 bulan yang lalu..Tarikh kami bertolak telah tiba, 8 Februari 2010. Kami bersiap sedia bertolak dari Kaherah ke Sharm pada 7 haribulan dadn tiba di Sharm pada 8 Feb. Dipendekkan cerita, flight kami dari Sharm ke London pada pukul 7 petang. Kami tiba di airport semenjak pukul 4 lagi. alhamdulillah kami ke kaunter check-in dan selesai mendapat boarding pass masing-masing.

Kemudian kami berkumpul di suatu penjuru, menunggu masuknya waktu maghrib. 20 minit sebelum azan, tiba-tiba orang yang jaga kaunter check-in tu datang jumpa kami dan meminta boarding pass dan passport kami. Dia kata ada sesuatu yang dia mahu semak. 30 minit kemudian, kami mula sangsi, apa masalahnya dengan passport dan boarding pass kami. Lama lepas itu, kami dapat bercakap dengan manager Easy Jet Mesir melalui telefon, dia meminta penjelasan perjalanan kami. Namun setelas berhempas pulan bercakap dengan dia dan pegawai di kaunter tadi, hasilnya kami memang tidak dapat fly pada malam itu.

Mendengar keputusan ini, perasaan kami bercampur-hadup dengan marah, kecewa dan sedih. Usaha selama 2 bulan seolah-olah sia-sia. Penjelasan mereka, mereka pelik, kenapa kami beli tiket one way ke London dan dadlam perjalanan pulan semula ke Kaherah, kami ada transit selama 5 jam di Geneva, kemudian kembali ke Mesir. Setelah menjelaskan etika perjalanan kami kepada pegawai kaunter, alhamdulillah dia memahami kenapa kami berbuat demikian. Tujuan kami mengambil multiple flights ini adalah kerana perjalanan secara itu adalah lebih murah. Tapi, masalahnya timbul pada peringkat manager Easy Jet di Mesir. Dia tetap tidak bersetuju. Pasal apa, kami pun tak tau. Pegawai kaunter tadi kata, manager tadi ada kuasa untuk membatalkan flight sesiapa sahaja.

Kami sangat marah dengan dia, macam-macam perkataan tak elok keluar daripada mulut kami. Tapi kami tetap kawal perasaan kami dengan bersabar sesabar-sabarnya. Akhirnya, kami memang tak fly malam itu, dan mengambil keputusan untuk pulang ke Kaherah semula dengan hati yang berkecamuk. Pagi 9 Feb kami tiba di rumah.

Tetapi, pagi itu dalam pukul 10.00, tiba-tiba, aku mendapat ilham. Tetap mahu, pergi ke London. Lepas itu, aku mencari tiket flight di internet, melihat mana-mana airways yang available. alhamdulillah, aku dapat jumpa flight syarikat BMI (British Midland International) yang harganya mampu dibeli on the spot. Then, aku pun khabarkan kepada rakan-rakan yang lain tentang berita ini, mereka semuanya bersetuju kecuali Najib. Maka tengah hari itu juga kami berempat pergi ke syarikat BMI di Tahrir untuk membeli tiket flight itu, yang penerbangannya pada petang itu juga.

Jam 5.15 petang, 9 Feb, kami pun selamat bertolak dan tiba di London pada malamnya waktu London. Kami berempat rasa sangat bersyukur kerana impian kami untuk melancong pada cuti winter ini tercapai.

Hurmmm, setakat itu dahulu nak cerita. selebihnya akan diberitahu pada masa akan datang. : P

11th of February i'll be off to Manchester, then Liverpool the following day..

after that, to Paris at the 13th till 17th...I'll return to London to catch

my flight back at 18th..

so that's how the trip is going to be..

this monday at the evening will be my flight to U.K.

me with my 4 other friends namely Ishak, Najib, Kamal and Afify.

we'll be going to London, Manchester and Liverpool.

Then me and Ishak will be travelling to Paris and will be staying there for 3 days.

then after, we'll be heading back to London for the return flight back to Egypt at

18 February. InsyaAllah. all and all, it'll be a 10 day trip.

Alhamdulillah all the things concerned with flights, train and coach tickets and accommodation has been settled earlier to get the best prices. the travelling maneuvers has also been planned. where to visit and so on. so, i'll just prepare myself for the trip and i'll be gone.

pray for my safety throughout the trip. also hope for my financial state will be okay throughout.

i'm not planning to buy stuff's that much. just want to grasp a bit of experiences travelling to other countries. after all, i'm still living under the bless of a scholarship. after I get my own income, I can spend much more.

so, no posts for the next 2 weeks..i'll tell you about the trip then after.

it's been a week since the new subject began, namely E.N.T..

so far so good.. like i stated earlier, it's a more doctory thing..because we get to see patient's with a doctor examining him/her, then the doctor explain stuff and so on..

its like a pretest to show the real life of a doctor.

its because it's the clinical medicine part where we get to observe real things going on around in a hospital.

in fact, the class itself is in the university hospital..

anyhow, i'm really enjoying it..

after the lecture today, start the beginning of a 2 week winter break.

and i'll be traveling somewhere quite far from egypt..

i'll tell you about it in the coming post

well of course i couldn't reach the 100% mark,
it's what's important is that I've laid down my best effort.
depends on what will be the outcome.

overall the subject was interesting although a bit annoying..
the next 2 subjects will be emphasizing on a more clinical
path, E.N.T and ophthalmology

so i need to prepare well also to
plan well about the winter trip.

just want to inform you guys about the exam
which is just underneath your shoes..
well tomorrow will be the exam, perhaps during the mid-day.

something about the exam "Community Medicine".
the first thing is that, the subject is not that difficult to understand..
what's difficult (according to me) is the loads of stuffs to read and memorize.
so its quite a pain for me to remember things actually, especially after the aftermath 7 months ago.

but still i have confidence that i can do what i did before. with some extra efforts or so like the doctor said. anyhow, i've done what a could throughout the week. depends on how much i can remember what i've read.

so what to do, is to try to answer the Qs tomorrow all-out, and finally pray to Allah for my success.
last words, pray for my success for tomorrow and the coming subjects and exams.

just want to tell you guys about the exam, last Thursday,
well, it was not real tough exam.
I managed to do it well.
maybe just one or two simple mistakes but it does't matter,
right now, the more important thing..
I need to prepare for another big exam,
this Thursday, a lot to read, but not that difficult to understand,
just need's a big chunk of effort to memorize the whole thing,
as usual, it's studying medicine after all.
but I'll manage InsyaAllah.

what's going on this week.

assalamualaikum and a very good morning to you guys
it's been a while since i wrote something here.
hmmm, lets see.

today marks the 7th month and 8th day since the accident happened.
a lot of things changed. and i really mean a lot.
at times, i think that it was a bless that the accident occurred.
though bad things did happen, but what's important is what's going on right now
and happen in the future.

it's a total relief that i was still blessed to lived in this world to correct and improve myself, also to be a better person from what i was before.
so to readers out there, please do not wait until something really bad happens to you, then you really want to bertaubat.
what if, if i'd lost my life back then, totally i wouldn't be ready to face god.
so please use the time you have now, very wise and beneficial.

okay, for this period, about this 2 weeks, its a study lift period
to give time to prepare for the exams coming.
the nearest will be this Thursday. OSPE.
further on, is on 28th of Jan, the End-Round Exam for Community Medicine.
right after, i'll begin the third subject, ENT(ears, nose and throat)
for a week, then its the holiday, winter break.
this time, i'll really go somewhere, u wanna know,
wait till the time comes.
al right then, pray for my success for the exams

Over the past year healthcare has become one of the greatest tests for Barack Obama, the US president.

He made reform of the system that leaves 47 million people uninsured his top domestic priority.

Congress passed two bills that are expected to be merged in the coming weeks. If Obama signs a final bill into law, he will be the first US president in a century to deliver on his promise of reform.

But many in his own Democratic party say the new measures fall short of his campaign promise to cover all Americans.

And on the right, Republicans say it will cost too much as the country tries to climb out of recession.

At the heart of the debate is whether there should be a public option - a government-run plan to compete with private insurers. One of the bills includes it, the other does not.

Al Jazeera travelled to Richmond, Virginia where we found some people struggling to cover their medical costs but divided over the best way to reform the system.

For all of them though, healthcare has become a matter of life and debt.

Neurology appointment..

yup,
it was yesterday, the appointment with the neurologist,
Dr Omar, the person in charge taking care of me during my illness.
of course, I hardly recognized him because i don't remember a single thing about Kasr El-Ainy Hospital.
what was done?..
practically speaking, there wasn't any test..
just a memory test when he told me to recite a Sura that i previously memorized.
I did well coz was not a hard task to do..
other things,,,he told me that I have to do extra effort to regain back my previous skill of learning.
this is becoz, the skills that constitute the area damaged will be taken ove by the other parts of the brain.
and to do this, repeated stimulus which is from learning will fasten the area to take over what was damaged...and again, for this reason i have study harder..
overall, i'm okay and i can go back to studies like normal
also, from the previous psychology test, the results were good..alhamdulillah..
all fine..
likewise..what i have to do now is, study...but for me, to study excessively i s really boring..
so i'll do what i can as long as i'm happy..

gi maen futsal, ziarah kawan2, mandi laut, makan seafood and sebagainya...
yang paling best, makan seafood la..sdap tol..

byk jumpa member2 baru, mcm2 citer yg kluar,
kebanyakan pasal incident 6 bulan yg lalu la...

then bende yg paling best, kenangan kt alex..
gi mandi laut..
pastu sronok sangat
gi mandi skali ngan handset ngan dompet...hahaha~~
yup...pastu ape lagi,,,agaknya punah dah kot handset tu..

Assalamualaikum..
to all dear fellow Muslims.
As we all know we are in the first month of a new year..!!!

Muharram, 1431H

we have just entered a new year..so there may be things that we want to upgrade ourselves.
I'm not willing to write here, the Fadhilat of entering a new year and we must do..
we can find other sites describing it.
i'm here to tell you, just do something that can improve yourself..even its a small thing
for example, I'll give you a thing easy that you can do without hassle:

The thing is, we to much ample time in our daily lives. like if we are on our way to the university, why don't we move our tongues by Zikurullah or Istighfar..that can fill up our time,,the thing is, at least do something instead of just walking and look around what other people are doing..that's kind of boring..like I said, do something beneficial.

If not by zikr, think what you did yesterday, and do it right next time. Or just think whatever things that come in to your mind.

So at least we're doin' something new this new year..and let it continue throughout out our lives..its a worth when we are still alive here in this world..to collect whats necessary

fizikaly..anda makin sihat. Tapi, dari sudut emosi?

ya betul, fizikal makin sihat..
dari segi emosi..
pertama sekali, emosi mengenai kemalangan..

-->memang tak ada sebab langsung tk ingat macam mana kemalangan tu jadi..tau2 dah ada kat umah je..

-->emosi2 lain macam being too emotional, macam nk marah-marah org tu mmg tkde..adalah sekali marah org indon buat keje depan umah pasal bising time org tgh azan, tu je,,
dari segi benda lain, semua stabil, tkde masalah

-->mula-mula kat mesia rasa down, sebab mak kata rumah jauh dgn kuliah (mak saja nk igtkn balik sbb mak penah dtg sini), jadi duk risau and kelam-kabut suruh kawan cari rumah baru yg dekat dgn kuliah,,last2 bile balik sini, tgk-tgk, rupanya tkde jauh pon. mampu la nk ulang alik. mungkin mak risau pasal saya. again, no worries for me.

peace be to you a'll,
todays post marks the 6th month since the incident happen,
which was due in 10th of June ago.

what has changed since then..?
many things changed as I mentioned in the previous posts.
Alhamdulillah I'm getting better and better every day.
currently I have to go on with life as usual.
Study and so on. Get good results.
Also I have to balance time with medicine stuff and arabic classes.
In the mean time, building up manners and whats necessary for me.
For sure I am very thankful to Allah with my recovery and also for what has happened.

Hope I will be fine and achieve the best for the remaining moments of my life.
Again, thank you so much.

character saya, orang kata tiddak berubah, sama je mcm dulu.
yg perubahnya,
-saya menjadi lebih pendiam
-i'm less prone to do the wrong things prohibited by Islam..which is a good thing for me.
-skill yg saya reti buat sbelum ni, macam After Effets atau Photoshop, maybe ade hilang sikit2, tapi actually saya blom cuba try buat lagi...so tk tau la sekarang..

yang penting skrg ni, saya cuba jadi secemerlang dlm pelajaran mcm dulu, tapi mmg tk berharap sangat pun sbb mak kata "kalau tk dapat mumtaz pon, jgn stress, relek je. yang penting dapat lepas and jadi Dr yg baik".
jadi itulah yg saya pegang,,buat je semampu yg boleh..

nak tanya skrg ni kiranya enta dah tak perlukan apa2 rawatan dr hosp kan? maknanye juz recover sendiri la kan.

tentang memori, ada lagi ke apa2 yg enta tak ingat?

saya cuba jawab..
ya sekarang tak ada apa2 rawatan follow-up..ubat-ubat tang dibekalkan oleh hospital kuala lumpur dah habis dimakan..
jadi sekarang saya recover sendiri dan terus recover..

mengenai memory, apa yg tk igt..
--> kesemua tentang peristiwa kemalangan
--> apa yang terjadi selepas saya sedar dari koma sehinggalah ke seminggu sebelum puasa, barulah saya mula "waras" dan bertanyakan masalah atau apa yg berlaku selama saya tk sedar tu.
--> lagi. apa yg saya tk igt tu, hari demi hari, peristiwa-peristiwa yg berlaku selama ini semakin diingati.
dan alhamdulillah sekarang saya dah semakin byk ingat...

salam..

lama saya menyepi..
baik, saya pulang ke malaysia pada pertengahan bulan 7..
saya naik Egypt air. macamana saya balik?..pihak flight terpaksa mengggunakan 6 buah seat untuk diubah suai menjadi katil supaya saya mudah baring..seorang Dr, Dr Mustafa ditugaskan untuk memantau saya balik ke malaysia..nasib baik tiada apa-apa yang buruk berlaku semasa dalam flight..

sampai di malaysia, saya dibawa ke wad neorologist di Hospital Kuala Lumpur..saya duduk di sana selama seminggu..kemudian saya pulang ke rumah saya..saya mmg tk tahu apa yg berlaku di hospital, mmg tk ingat....
di rumah macam biasa,,ramai yg dtg melawat, kawan sekolah SMAP dulu, jiran-jiran, saudara-mara, kawan-kawan saya, mak dan ayah..dan juga kawan-kawan dari mesir. yang ni saya ingat sikit2.
okay, bemula seminggu sebelum puasa, saya mula benar2 'waras'. makna waras ni,..

saya boleh igt apa yg berlaku, dan saya mula bertanyakan apa yang berlaku selama ini..

macam soalan yg saya tanya kepada ibu saya..

"macam mana tiba2 boleh ada kt malaysia ni??bukan masih tgh exam ke??"..

berbalik kepada kisah kesihatan,
saya mengalami masalah dengan joint di tangan, dimana saya hanya boleh bengokkn tgn kepada 90 darjah. kemudian ayah membawa ke tukang urut di kajang. selepas itu saya boleh angkat tinggi sikit.

tk cukup dengan itu, saya juga pergi ke tabib cina, membuat cara urutan dia. agak memedihkan, tapi sekarang tangan saya sudah okay.

kedua, saya menjalani rawatan physiotherapy di hospital serdang..menaiki treadmill utk kaki saya, mesin cycling, memori test dan macam2 lagi.agak menyampah jugak dengan semua test2 tu, tapi sebab namanya rawatanm, terpaksalah saya ikut juga.

ketiga, selepas pada itu, saya ke HKL semula untuk menjalani ujian neurology. Dr kata saya lulus ujian itu, tapi katanya sebagai medical student, saya sepatutnya achieve higher marks in the test. dia kata mungkin masa belajar saya kena double or triple effort saya daripada sebelum ini. oleh itu, saya kena rajin sikit la sekarang..tapi itu saya kena atasi dgn berfikir yang sebenarnya saya tetap boleh cemerlang macam sebelum ini. saya tk boleh terlalu risau.

keempat. saya juga ke Hosp Putrajaya utk ujian pancaindera, kalau2 ada kesan lepas accident tu. tapi nasib baik tk ada apa2..saya juga ke klinik untuk masalah kegatalan dan urination. tapi kesemua itu beransur hilang.

saya ada kena makan ubat anti epilepsy, sebab brain injury ada risk untuk dapat epilepsy, skrang ubat itu dh habis dimakan. kini hanya makan supplement sahaja, untuk menguatkan minda. saya juga kena makan makanan yang berkhasiat macam kismis, almond dan sebagainya.
Ermm, itu sahaja kot yang saya mahu cerita..kalau ada musykilah, sila bertanyakan soalan. saya akan buka ruang untuk bertanya..
